Julian Harvest Apple Hard Cider


Julian Harvest Apple Hard Cider    7.0%ABV
A:  Julian Hard Cider pours a crystal clear, nearly colorless, uber light green straw color with no notable head.
S:  Tart apple aroma with hints of white flowers, a touch of minerality and a really restrained sweetness.
T:  Tart and dry with a touch of minerality and subtle apple flavors.  Great for the Dry English Cider drinkers
M: light- medium bodied for cider, moderate carbonation and a tart, dry finish.
Pairings:  This could go with so many foods, try it with the roasted summer squash, rosemary ham, red endive salad, cheese, boudin blanc

A:  Pours a clear, roasty amber color with lively carbonation, and a light tan head.
S: dark roasted malts, dark dried fruits, Belgian candi sugar, and notable Belgian yeast spiciness.
T: caramel, toffee, dark fruits and roasted malts, with signature Belgian yeast characteristics
M: medium body, with medium carbonation and a spicy dry finish
Pairings:  This beer is perfect to pair with the Wagyu beef, Chocolate masala mouse or the Whisky cake

Avery IPA


Avery IPA 6.5% ABV

A:  Pours a clear light copper hue with a thick white head.
S:  Bready Pale Malts, citrus and spicy hops balance with a little tropical fruit and pine.
T:  Caramel and pale malts dance with floral and citrusy hops, spice and grapefruit round out the finish.
M:  Light- Medium body, with moderate yet understated carbonation.
D:  Very drinkable and also great with food.

Crispin Brown’s Lane Dry English Cider

A:   Pours  a dark golden color with a modest head that recedes to a minimal ring of bubbles.
S:  Light apple with earthy yeast,  hints of brettanomyces with a subtle farmhouse funk.
T: Lightly sweet with baking spicy and a nuanced farmhouse funk that adds to the delicate balance of sweet and tart.
M:  Medium in body with a bright element of tartness that keeps it very drinkable.
D:  Very drinkable but paired incredibly with other farmhouse elements like cheese, charcuterie,  baked goods, and light poultry and fish.
Pairing:  Cheese, charcuterie, fish, chicken , ham, baked desserts.

Duchesse De Bourgogne


Duchesse De Bourgogne-             Flanders Red Ale/6.0% From Brouwerij Verhaeghe is the traditional Flemish red ale. This refreshing ale is matured in oak casks; smooth with a rich texture and interplay of passion fruit, and chocolate, and a long, dry and acidic finish. The average age of this beer is 12 months.
A- Deep ruby-brown, small amount of head with miniaml lacing.
S- Funky and sour, berries
T- Nice tartness but well balanced, some vanilla from the oak barrels and a little earthiness, nice and complex flavor
M- Effervesent and crisp, light bodied
D- Great summer beer, good to start people on sours and also if someone likes wine

Duvel Belgian Golden

A:  Pours a brilliantly clear golden yellow with a lofty bright white head.
S:  Belgian yeast, tart fruit (green apple, lemon) mild spice (clove) and pilsner malt backbone/
T:  Light fruity yeast, pilsner malts, mild spice and minerality
M: Medium bodied with bright carbonation and a smoth finish.
D:  Drinkable yet a little high in ABV,  Great with food.
Pairing:  Mussels, fish, salmon, veal, salads, and vegetables.

Estrella Damm Daura

5.4% European Pale Lager
A: This beer pours a brilliantly clear golden straw color with modest white head., minimal lacing or head retention.
S: Aromas of pale malt, mild hops,  with no real big flavors.
T:  Light, grainy malts with mild sweetness and hints of grassy and spicy hops in compliment..
M:  Light in body, crisp, bright carbonation and semi-dry lager finish.
D:  Very drinkable, especially on hot days, especially if you are Gluten Intolerant.  This is a “gluten free“beer that tastes like beer.
Pairings
*This beer was brewed with the Ceoliacs Society and has a gluten level of 6 ppm.(20 ppm is the acceptable limit for Coeliacs)  Unfortunately the FDA regulates any dietary “recommendations” so they are not allowed to label it as “Gluten Free” although most Gluten Intolerants would find this acceptable.

Firestone Walker Opal Farmhouse

A: Slightly hazy, but very clear for the style, golden straw in color, fine white head
S: Fresh grass, peach, apple, pepper, clove, lemon
T: Pepper, lemongrass, dry, white grape, spice
M: Medium body, dry, crisp, fairly effervescent
D: Complex, but stylistically correct for drinking with food

Firestone Walker Stickee Monkee

A:   Pours a rich dark brown color with a patchy tan head
S:  Big aromas of turbinado sugar, and round boozy notes dominate, with a gorgeous mix of bourbon oak casks, rich caramel, vanilla, and hints of coconut and nuts
T:  Sweet and rich with caramel and big malts followed by barrel notes, dark fruits, and hints of baker’s chocolate.
M:  Big bodied with light carbonation and a creamy rich texture.
D:  Great rant beer.  Big and booze, fit for long conversations about controversial issues amongst only the best of friends.
Pairing:  Dark chocolate, dried fruits, creamy cheeses and desserts, baked apple, peach and pear desserts.  

Fuller ESB, Extra Special Bitter


Fuller ESB, Extra Special Bitter  5.9%ABV
A: Pours a clear burnt copper color with moderate yet submissive withe head.
S:  Rich caramel and toffee malty notes with grassy noble hops and only mild bitterness.
T: Caramel maltiness with mild hop bitterness and classic British ale yeast signature.
M: Medium body with a light carbonation that is reminiscent of cask conditioned pub ale on lees.
D:  Very drinkable but also a nice match for lighter pub fair.

Magner’s Original Irish Cider

A:  Pours a clear straw color with a lofty white head.
S:  Aromas of light and delicate apples, and hints of wood with a notable briny (olive) character in the background.  Aromas are dry and hinting at tart, however not sweet.
T:  A pretty basic apply cider with no big sweetness, and just enough tartness and wood, to roundout the balance and make this an epically drinkable cider.
M:  Medium-light in body with a bright carbonation and crisp texture.
D:  Super drinkable, often served over ice to keep it cold.

A: This beer pours a cloudy honey amber color with a lofty white head.
S: Aromas of citrus, white fruits, pale malts, sharp grassy and spicy hops and a dry delicate barnyard funk.
T: Light sweet malts, Belgian yeast, dry Brett funk and delicate citrus notes.
M: Medium- light body with bright prickly carbonation, and a dry and slightly funky finish.
D:  Very drinkable summer style brew.  Bright, citrusy, hoppy and dry.

A:  Pours a deep brown color that is nearly opaque with a lofty tan head that leads significant lacing.
S:  Lots of dark roasted malts, hints of dried fruit, coffee, and dark chocolate with minimal hop aromas.
T:  A complex malt bill brings together flavors of dark roasted and caramel malts, hints of dark chocolate, coffee, and brown bread. Starts sweet, while it finishes dry.
M: medium to full bodied, with modest carbonation and a creamy texture.
D:  Very drinkable, with a low ABV, however, great as a food beer as well.

Sam Smith IPA

A:  Pours a deep orangy copper color with an almond  head that recedes to leave a moderate lacing.
S: Sweet caramel malt and light fruity, grassy and earthy noble hops.
T:  great balance between earthy, grassy, spicy European hop varietals and rich caramel malts.
M: medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a slightly rich texture
D: very drinkable, but also a great addition to a modest meal.
Pairing:  Fish and Chips, Sheppards pie, corn beef and cabbage.

A: Pours a clear golden yellow with just hints of foam remaining.
S:  Aromas of pear (Bartlett, Anjou, and bosch) with hints of lemon and light yeastiness.
T:  Dry pears and light apples dominate the flavor with a touch of lemony tartness and some indication of a buttery caramel,
M:  Light to medium in body with a bright champagne carbonation.
D:  Very drinkable, however the sweetness can build in this one.
Pairing:  Think cheese, charcuterie, salty bar snacks, and light creamy desserts.
Straffe Hendrik Belgian Quadrupel  11%ABV
A:  Pours a slightly cloudy brown with gorgeous red highlights and a lofty beige head.
S:  Aromas of squaw bread, molasses, dark fruits, dark chocolate.
T:  Starts light and floral then succumbs to the rich roasted malts and complexities of the belgian yeast esters.   Notes of apple, raisin, brown sugar, earthy caramel.
M: Med- full in body with modest carbonation and a sincere alcohol warmth.
D: This is quite the sipper but would also pair incredibly with food.

M:  Light-med body with a silky nitrous carbonation and a creamy texture.
D:  Supremely, how many can you drink?
