Dogfish Head, Sah’tea

Dogfish Head, Sah’tea, 9% Sahti, 750ml
A: Bright honey color with head that quickly fades
S: Off the charts amazing with cardamom, cinnamon, and clove. Very spicy and reminds you instantly of chai tea
T: Refreshing on the first sip with a moderate malty body. As the beer is swallowed your hit with black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, black pepper, juniper, and a touch of banana from the Weizzen yeast.
M: Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation
D: This is my new fav DF beer. It’s so different it’s just outstanding. It’s truly a blend of chai tea flavors and beer.
Food Pairings: Scallops add Scallop, Rocket Salad, Stilton Sandwich add Steak, Bananas
Facts: 9th Century Finnish Recipe that requires heating the wort with white hot river rocks. They blend cardamon, cinnamon, ginger, clove, and black pepper to make a black chai tea. Beer is brewed with hand picked Finnish juniper and rye. Weizzen Yeast. This is one of the Ancient Ales.
